    Great Signing

Awesome day yesterday. Went o Paperback n'Things in Westland to see Lora Leigh, Lorie O'Clare  and Tawny Taylor at a signing. Had just a wonderful time. Always look forward to seeing Lora and Lorie again, and it was great getting a chance to get to know Tawny.  Went for Chinese for dinner after the signing, talked for ages, inside and outside of the restaurant, then back to the hotel to gab some more.

I love just listening. Lora and Tony have such a wealth of knowledge, it's amazing to be given the opportunity to learn from them, and I try to soak everything up like a sponge. Of course, that's when I 'm not cracking up at Lorie and Tony picking on each other. You'd think they were siblings the way they tease each other. What a hoot. Didn't want to leave. It's really the first time I've really had one-on-one alone time with Lora. I knew that they had a long drive today though, and if I'd stayed much longer I would have fallen asleep on the way home. Thank you Louis, for keeping me company on the phone for the drive home. Might be the first time that I was ever happy about the time difference.

Found out that there's another signing at the same store next weekend with some other authors, so I'll probably swing back out there for that. Nice little store.

    Blown away with kindness

I was taking a break from work this morning and thought that I'd hop over and look at my friend Angie's blog and see if she'd updated or had Brianna news and I'm still crying.

Once in a long while, a person will touch your life and their soul will just resonate with yours. That's how I felt when I met Angie in Baltimore, and I felt it again when saw her in St. Louis at the end of April. Reading her blog today really reinforced that.

Thank you Baby Girl, for being an amazing friend. For always having the words when mine disappear. For being you. I love you, no matter what.
